Description: This heavy marvellously cut tumbler is very similar to another in a French museum except this one has the bees. The rim is gold and has a tiny assay mark. There are three portraits The Emperor Napoleon, his new young wife Marie-Louise and their baby François Charles Joseph Bonaparte born in 1811, who was styled King of Rome. Then there is a a finely cut intertwined 'L' (ouis) 'N' (apoleon) within a necklace with medal surmounted by a crown. There is fine cutting to the base of the tumbler leading underneath to a star. The glass is of clear heavy lead crystal and probably by Baccarat, France C1820. It is museum quality
